Heroes of Newerth

There is a new game call Heroes of Newerth. It is a DOTA duplicate. The map, heroes, spells, items are very similiar to dota. The only big difference is the graphics. It is 100x better graphics than dota. However, it required minimum 2 GB RAM and a very good graphics card.

I was invited to try out the game. Currently, the game is in beta testing.

Currently, you need the key from S2 to create an account.

The beta servers are in USA only. Even so, i could have a good ping of 250. Each game is created in the server. Even if you got disconnected or fatal error, you still can reconnect to the game.

After selecting the game, you can choose the team you want. There is 2 team which is Legion and Hellborne.

There is 43 heroes in HON while dota has 95 heroes to choose from.

Every hero ability is random. You can even select which magic ability you want. See the video to know more:-




The mode are:-
1) Random abilities
type this to activate: -ardmra
When any hero appears in game (was picked or randomed) it gains 3 random abilities and 1 random ultimate.

2) Abilities Draft
type this to activate: -apad
Every player can choose 3 standart abilities and 1 ultimate for his hero. Picking goes in a draft style. Abilities can be bought in taverns, which are filled with 66 standart abilities and 22 ultimates randomed from pool of avaible abilities.

Killing Roshan Early Game

If you have been playing dota, there is a unit call Roshan. It is the most powerful neutral creep with 9000 life and increases every 10 mins. Killing Roshan alone is very hard. Killing it early game is even harder.

I have played a game which they kill Roshan early game before the creep appear. They gain experince and gold too. After that, they just kill us easily. But how did they kill Roshan early game?

Even with 5 heroes it is no easy job to kill Roshan because any hero at level 1 has low armor, low hitpoints, low attack damage. However, there is 5 key points to kill it:-

1) Need a hero who can summon. The summon creature will act as tanker (Ex:- banehallow-summon wolf , syllabear-summon bear)

2) Slow Roshan attack (Ex:- Lich-his frost armor can slow enemy attack speed by -20%)

3) Healer (Ex:- omniknight, dazzle, necrolyte)

4) Reduce Roshan armor (shadow fiend, lanaya)

5) Increase team damage (vengeful spirit, luna, drow ranger)

Having all the 5 type of hero will easily kill Roshan early game. But do not let the enemy find out

Dota is boring

Dota is boring. Damn boring when these happen:-

Dota Collided map

This is the worst cheaters. It is a dota map which has been edited and allow to key in cheat code. They can make the tower armor to 99999 for how long they want. They even can use their power and kill other hero one time. They can even get 10000 gold in the start of the game. It only works on warcraft 1.22 and lower. I hate these cheaters because it destroy the fun of dota.

MapHacker

Maphackers know where you are. They can see the entire map. Even inside your base. They can see invisible hero and know which is the fake hero. This turn you down when they can kill you even though you are invisible or run away when you are going to gank him.

Leaver

Another type of person that make dota so sucks. Playing the game for 20 mins and suddenly they start leaving. It is like wasting 20mins of your life on your computer.

No teamwork

This make dota not dota. When the enemy is attacking your base, your friends are farming in the jungle. They will also leave you alone to die and laugh at you as a noob. This make dota so sucks.

Dota 6.61b for 6vs6

what happen if there is 12 people wanting to play dota. The extra 2 people would need to wait their turn to play. Wait no more.

Dota 6.61b is out

Some changes were made but after playing a few rounds of games, this is my hypothesis:-
a) batrider - nerf - less hp but still deadly with his combo
* Batrider: Lowered Strength gain from 2.5 to 2.0

b) bone fletcher - buff- attack very painful with his fire arrow in the beginning of game
* Bone Fletcher: Improved Searing Arrows damage from 10/20/30/40 to 20/30/40/50

c) furion - buff - If furion has hex, he can sprout then hex then sprout then hex .. non stop
* Furion: Lowered Sprout cooldown from 11 seconds to 11/10/9/8 seconds and manacost from 115/140/165/205 to 100/120/140/160

d) nerubian weaver - lost some, gain some - It still can map hack but in a very much smaller, restricted area. But the urna swarm could really damage the enemy early game. They will retreat when they see urna swarm coming.
* Nerubian Weaver: Reworked Watchers to Urna Swarm

e) orge magi - still the same - even after reducing his ulti. It is still very deadly hero when he bombard you
* Ogre Magi: Reduced Multicast from 30%2x/45%2x+22.5%3x/60%2x+30%3x+15%4x ->25%2x/40%2x+20%3x/50%2x+25%3x+12.5%4x

f) silencer - buff - do not get kill near by the silencer. you will lose 1 int. thats alot for strength hero
* Silencer: Transferred Glaive of Wisdom's secondary effect of +1/-1 Intelligence from hero kills to Last Word. If an enemy hero dies under the Last Word effect, that hero will lose 1 intelligence and you will gain 1 intelligence.
* Silencer: Increased Last Word AoE from 700 to 900

g) Tauren Chieftain - nerf - now his damage and hp is less but becareful with his combo. Is much easier to kill him now than before.
* Tauren Chieftain: Lowered base damage by 10
* Tauren Chieftain: Lowered Strength gain from 2.7 to 2.3
* Tauren Chieftain: Decreased Natural Order percentages to 20/40/60/80%

h) Viper - nerf - now he cannot deny his creep easily. Allow the opponent to farm.
* Viper: Nethertoxin now only works on enemy units

i) bottle - buff - automatically refill in fountain. Do not need to click on the bottle to refill it every time.

j) quelling blade - still the same - even after the reduction, it still does a minor damage. The skill to last hit and deny is more important
* Quelling Blade: Minor reduction to bonus damage (36->32)

k) buriza - buff - not a good item early game but become deadly when it is end game
* Buriza-Do Kyanon: Improved the critical value from 2.2x to 2.4x

Dota Tips - Ghost Scepter

As we know ghost scepter when activated will make you immune to attack damage for 4 seconds but take extra 44% damage from magic spell. However, ghost scepter can block certain magic spell. Here are the list:-

Mortred - all her spells
Juggernaut -all his spells
Tinker - Rockets
Atropos -brain sap
Leshrac - diabolic edict
Queen of Pain - scream of pain
Dirge - soul rip
Meepo - earthbind (you can walk out of the net)
Pit Lord-Pit of Malice (you can walk out)

Dota Tricks

Here are some tricks:-

1) Treant Protector - If there is no trees around you , how do you become invisible?

Answer : cast Eyes in the Forest + Nature's Guise. Eyes in the forest will create a tree for you to hide.

2) How to move when channeling spell?

Answer : Teammate help to use force staff on channeling hero. Example of channeling hero are crystal maiden, sand king, pudge
